District champs!

Then there were eight teams remaining. The Lebanon High School football team did whatever it took to get the job done and finished the night with a Missouri Class 5 District 4 championship, defeating the Ozark Tigers on Friday night at ‘Jacket Stadium, 35-17.

With the win, the ‘Jackets captured their first district championship in seven seasons and fifth in program history. Lebanon advances to the state quarterfinals for just the second time in school history.

“I am extremely proud of our kid and coaches,” Lebanon head football coach Will Christian said about this teams’ performance. “I thought all facets were clicking at the right time and against a very talented football team (Ozark) that is well-coached. We had to take it and I am extremely proud of all of those involved in Lebanon football.

“This program is relevant and we wanted to take the next-step and win a district championship.”
