Lebanon Middle School teams get victories over Joplin

Both the 7th and 8th grade Lebanon Middle School football teams were victorious over the Joplin Eagles on Thursday night in Joplin.

In the 7th grade game, the ‘Jackets were able to get their first victory of the season under new head coach Chris Britt, 14-12.

In the first quarter of the seventh grade game, the Eagles scored two touchdowns before Lebanon scored 14 unanswered points in the third quarter to secure the victory.

Preston Wood got Lebanon on the board with a 1-yard rushing touchdown and LMS converted the two-point conversion.

Will Klieber capped the ‘Jackets scoring with a 55-yard touchdown run late in third quarter.

In the 8th grade game, Lebanon defeated Joplin, 30-18.

In the first quarter, Lebanon got a 25-yard touchdown run from Colton Snow. Zach Stewart had a nine-yard touchdown run in the second quarter and in the second half, LMS got a 45-yard touchdown run and a 12-yard touchdown from Collin Wilson before Caden Brown sealed the win with an interception and 40-yard return.
