The Lebanon girls’ soccer team is off to a 4-3 start this season and is slated to compete against Washington on Friday at the Parkway College Showcase, the No. 1 girls’ soccer tournament in the country.

Lebanon opened the season by going 2-1 and taking second-place at the Heritage Bank Kickoff Tournament at Lebanon High School. The teams were Southern Boone, Mt. View-Liberty, Crocker and Lebanon.

Lebanon won first game against Mt. View-Liberty on Friday, 2-0, and got goals from Alyssa Long and Lexi Wapelhorst.

“It was a real good shutout for our defense. Mt. View-Liberty is a solid team every year and their keeper did a great job against us,” Lebanon head coach Matt Jernigan said.
