With 13 first-year players out for the Lebanon boys’ tennis team this season, the Yellowjackets are still learning how to win at the varsity level.

“There for a while I felt like all our scores were going to be 4-5,” Crowell said. “We just couldn’t quite get over the hump and win some of those. We are inexperienced, but it has been fun watching these guys get a lot better.” Crowell said he felt the team started to turn the corner in a close 5-4 loss on April 13 to Waynesville. “These guys have been very coachable and they have worked hard,” Crowell said. “That has been enjoyable for me watching these guys get better. Hopefully we can get on a roll and finish the season strong.”
