Lebanon senior Wynter Nekola is a standout track for the Yellowjackets team this spring. She has signed a letter-of-intent to continue her track career at Missouri Southern in Joplin.

After signing to run track at Missouri Southern, senior Wynter Nekola expects to be a key figure for the Lebanon track and field team this spring. Nekola will compete in the high jump as well as the 400-meter relay for the ‘Jackets.

“She has worked her tail off in the off-season by working with coaches trying to perfect her technique,” Lebanon head coach Shane Rebmann said. “She is really geared up for her senior season.

“I expect her to not only have a chance to qualify for state, but also medal at state. She has put a lot of work in over the off-season to get where she is at, and the sky is the limit for her.

“Wynter is bringing a whole new attitude everyday and is excited to be there.” The Daily Record recently caught up with Nekola and asked her about the upcoming season.
