COLUMBIA — A year after finishing fifth and medaling at the state wrestling tournament as a freshman at 132-pounds, Lebanon sophomore Trevor Christian found himself wrestling under the bright lights of Mizzou Arena for a chance at a state championship at 152-pounds on Saturday evening in Columbia.

Coming into the match ranked No. 2 in Missouri Class 4 in his respective weight class, Christian faced a tough task, matching up against the No. 1 ranked wrestler in his class, senior Peter Enos of Francis Howell.

Enos, a three-time state champion and West Virginia University wrestling commit defeated Christian in the state championship match 9-3 in a hard-fought match between both opponents.

Christian complete his stellar sophomore season with a 50-3 record and Enos finishes the year with a 49-2 record.
